"Is there A Constitutional Right to Punitive Damages?"

The consistently excellent Drug and Device Law posted earlier this week on the topic "Is there A Constitutional Right to Punitive Damages?"  The answer to that question, not surprisingly, is no. The post collects cases from various jurisdictions, in various different contexts, holding that plaintiffs have no vested right to a punitive damages award.
